According to research by the EU's PV CYCLE organization, glass accounts for approximately 70% of the total weight of waste photovoltaic modules, aluminum materials account for about 18%, and semiconductor materials account for about 4%.

With the rapid development of solar photovoltaic power generation, the issue of recycling and reusing waste photovoltaic modules has emerged. According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), it is estimated that by 2030, the accumulated waste photovoltaic modules worldwide will reach millions of tons.

According to a draft law, the German government plans to accelerate the development of wind and solar energy, as part of its climate protection plan. The draft law indicates that Germany's plan is to raise the onshore wind energy installed capacity from the previous goal of 71GW to 95GW by 2030, and to increase the solar energy installed capacity from 100GW to 150GW.
